Google introduced platform-wide Encrypted Client Hello (ECH) support on Android 17, the first major mobile OS to do so. ECH encrypts destination websites from ISPs, showing only CDNs like Cloudflare. Enabled by default, it closes a privacy gap but doesn't hide DNS lookups or IP addresses.
