E-scooter founder raises $5M for space data centers

Orbital, founded by Spin founder Euwyn Poon, raised a $5 million seed round from a16z's Speedrun and others to build data centers in space. The company plans to run AI inference on orbit, betting on SpaceX's Starship to make the economics viable. A demo flight will test an Nvidia Blackwell chip on a partner satellite.
