Norway EV Share Hits 98.1%, Tesla Model Y Leads

Plugin electric vehicles reached 98.1% of new car sales in Norway during Q2 2026, up from 96.7% a year earlier. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling BEV with 5,686 units. Toyota's Urban Cruiser took second place with 1,969 units. The BEV fleet now exceeds one million vehicles, over a third of all cars on Norwegian roads.
