DNA Computer Runs 100-Bit Calculations Without Power

Researchers at Maynooth University in Ireland built a DNA molecular computer that performs 100-bit calculations using self-assembling strands and no electricity. The system, detailed in Nature on September 16, executed 10 molecular programs including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
