Introducing Figma Motion: Your canvas now has a timeline

Figma launched Motion, a new mode that adds an animation timeline directly to the canvas. The feature lets designers prompt a Figma agent to build motion, includes Dev Mode access for handoff, and supports custom animation styles. Atlassian designers reported reduced friction in shipping animated work.
