Samsung adopts silicon-carbon batteries for Galaxy Z Fold 8 series

Samsung confirmed the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 all use silicon-carbon batteries. The Fold 8 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh cell, up 600mAh from the Fold 7, while the unfolded thickness dropped from 4.2mm to 4.1mm. Samsung redesigned the cathode, separator, and anode to manage reactivity and stability.
