MIT Transit Lab Wins $2.1M Google.org AI Grant

Google.org awarded MIT Transit Lab $2.1 million on Sept. 15 to build the Public Transit Intelligence Hub, an open-source AI platform unifying real-time monitoring, operations control, and passenger communication for transit agencies. The three-year project, one of 15 global winners, includes pro bono Google engineers and aims to help control center staff make faster, better-informed decisions.
