The Vector W8 Was America's Only True Independent 20th-Century Supercar

Jerry Wiegert spent 19 years developing the Vector W8, which entered production in 1990. The twin-turbo 6.0-liter V8 claimed 625 hp, 600 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and a 218 mph top speed. The car used aerospace components, carbon fiber, and Kevlar bodywork.
