Visibuilt raises €3.34M for mycelium road binder

Danish biotech Visibuilt has closed a €3.34 million seed round co-led by EIFO and Unconventional Ventures for its mycelium-based binder visiBINDER, designed to replace fossil bitumen and cement in paving. The company has partnered with IBF, Copenhagen Municipality, NCC, and Munck Asfalt for trials. The technology binds aggregate at near-room temperature, cutting energy and emissions versus conventional asphalt production at up to 250°C.
