sqlite-utils 4.2.1 fixes a crashing bug in 4.2 caused by an unlisted typing-extensions dependency. The fix includes a smoke test using uv run --isolated --no-default-groups to verify the CLI works without dev dependencies. Simon Willison posted the release on 13th August 2026.
