A federal judge reprimanded four lawyers in a Mississippi case, Withers v. City of Aberdeen, for using AI software that hallucinated cases or cited cases not part of state law. The lawyers on both sides of the solar project fee dispute failed to verify AI-generated legal authority before filing.
