Upstart chipmakers keep challenging Nvidia. This time it's Microsoft-backed D-Matrix

D-Matrix, a Microsoft-backed startup near Nvidia's headquarters, claims its Corsair chip runs small inference workloads 10 times faster and uses five times less energy than a standalone Nvidia GPU. The company begins shipping to hyperscalers and AI labs this month. D-Matrix has raised about $500 million at a $2 billion valuation.
