Illinois agreed with crypto groups to postpone its 0.2% Digital Asset Tax from January 1 to July 1, pending a judge's approval. The Digital Chamber and Illinois Blockchain Association negotiated the delay to let both sides focus on the industry's court challenge to the tax's constitutionality and federal preemption. A filing is expected Thursday in Sangamon County court.
