NVIDIA Introduces PivotOPD for AI Agents

NVIDIA researchers with Princeton University and the University of Maryland introduce PivotOPD, a training method for multi-turn LLM agents. Tested on Qwen3-1.7B and Qwen3-8B students, it beats 13 baselines on ALFWorld, WebShop and Search-based QA. The method teaches agents to recover from pivotal mistakes, showing recovery is learnable.
