Ferrari and BMW are rolling out new models with lightweight, cost-effective aluminum wiring, following Tesla and Chinese EV makers. The shift away from copper, the dominant wiring material for two centuries, is forecast to affect about 2 percent of global copper demand this year, according to JPMorgan.
