The harness, the software wrapping an AI model, is becoming the strategic asset that controls data flow and model training. A security researcher reverse-engineered xAI's Grok Build binary on July 13, finding it uploaded a developer's codebase to xAI's cloud with zero AI calls. xAI has since disabled the behavior.
