Overloading MCP servers hurts coding agents

Loading every MCP server into a coding agent consumes context window tokens on tool definitions before any work begins. A 172-tool setup ate 141k tokens at rest. Claude Code's Tool Search defers definitions until needed, dropping that cost to 0 tokens at rest and 2.6k during a task.
