Expert Finds Security Flaws in £3 Temu Wi-Fi Extender

Security researcher Keiran Smith discovered critical vulnerabilities in a £3 Wi-Fi extender sold on Temu. The device contained a hidden administrator account with a fixed, identical password across all units, which could not be removed by changing the visible password. Smith also found a remote login service using these credentials and a command injection weakness, raising concerns about the security of extremely cheap connected hardware.
