Arizona Opens First Three NEVI Fast Chargers

Arizona activates its first three NEVI-funded DC fast-charging stations in Tucson, Green Valley, and Wellton along I-10, I-19, and I-8. These sites utilize a portion of the $76.5 million federal funding after a 2025 administrative freeze delayed the rollout. Construction began in early 2026 following a January 2026 court ruling that the funding had been unlawfully withheld.
