Gartner: M365 to Google switch often spite-driven, not cost-effective

A Gartner analyst told the firm's IT Symposium in Australia that many Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migrations are motivated by spite, not ROI. He stated that after adding necessary add-ons, Google Workspace can cost $2 more per month than Microsoft's E5 bundle, even with bundled Gemini AI. The analyst also noted migration is complex, taking at least two years.
