Google, Oppo, and Vivo plan to adopt ultra-thin glass (UTG) in foldable phones next year, following Apple's method. Apple's iPhone Ultra uses two UTG layers sandwiching the display to reduce creasing. Samsung will mass produce the UTG layers for wide adoption in 2027.
