Apple CEO Tim Cook held constructive talks with EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen over the delayed launch of Siri AI in Europe. Apple cited the Digital Markets Act for not shipping Siri AI with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 in the EU, and proposed an 18-month transition period with a Trusted System Agent, which the European Commission rejected.
