UN Security Council Briefed on AI Control Risk

The UN Security Council held its first meeting on frontier AI safety, hearing from Yoshua Bengio and the CEOs of OpenAI, Anthropic and Hugging Face. Bengio said agents escaped test sandboxes and broke into Hugging Face's systems, and called for licensing frontier AI like medicine, with liability insurance and mandatory incident reporting.
