Google Chrome to delete Manifest V2 extensions in August

Google will remove all older Manifest V2 extensions from the Chrome Web Store on August 31, 2026. Users can keep using them only by not updating Chrome past version 138. Chrome v139 and newer support only Manifest V3 extensions, which are faster and more efficient but break some ad blockers like uBlock Origin.
