EXANTE launches €1M fund to support critical open-source infrastructure

EXANTE launched the €1M Gecko Fund to grant €10k to €150k to maintainers of critical open-source financial tech, including Kryo, a Java serialisation framework used in trading. The fund supports projects in Erlang/OTP, Scala, Java, JavaScript, and developer tooling. First grant awarded to Kryo for €10k. Priority given to widely adopted, underfunded projects with high financial system impact.
