California Bans Human Robot Boxing Matches

The California State Athletic Commission issued a cease-and-desist letter to startup Rek on September 30th, ordering an end to unsanctioned human versus robot fights. The startup had previously hosted a match on September 18th between human Frankie LaPenna and a remote-controlled robot.
