Maine Disables Breach Portal After Fake Filings

Maine took its public data breach notification portal offline after fraudulent notices impersonating Discord and VRChat were posted. The fake Discord filing claimed 10 million users were impacted, while the VRChat notice alleged 2.4 million users' data was exposed. Both submissions contained obvious errors, including a Gmail address and a placeholder phone number.
