GoPro will merge with optical-photonics company Starman Optical, receiving $285 million while retaining about 10 percent ownership. The deal, expected to close by end of 2026, moves GoPro into AI data center optical transceivers, defense, robotics, and aerospace. GoPro's $92 million debt will be paid.
