Tesla hires Intel veteran for Terafab chip plant

Tesla hired a 17-year Intel veteran as Director of Terafab for its Austin chip fab project. The executive started in June 2026 and previously managed tool installation for Intel's 18A process. Tesla began advertising Terafab roles earlier this month seeking program managers with over $100 million in capital expenditure experience.
