Mistral Releases Le Chonk Coding Model

French AI lab Mistral released its ML4 model, nicknamed Le Chonk, on Oct. 6 with weights available. The model scored 41% on the Terminal-Bench 4.0 coding benchmark, beating GLM-5.3. It uses 47% fewer tokens than rivals while training on 4,000 Nvidia Grace Blackwell GPUs over two months in European data centers.
