Clemson University students unveiled Deep Orange 17, a solar-powered concept built with BMW. The two-seat Luminetta coupe uses over 1,700 photovoltaic cells and weighs 1,212 pounds. Simulations show it can add roughly 31 miles of range beyond a 12-mile daily commute. It debuts at CES 2027.
