Allure Security reported Thursday that attackers impersonate three US HR and payroll platforms with fake Windows desktop apps, though none of those vendors offer one. The installers drop ConnectWise ScreenConnect for silent, persistent remote access. GitHub download counts totaled 291, but the true victim count remains unknown.
