Living Mycelium Dress Self-Repairs and Renews

Researchers in China developed a living mycelium textile that self-cleans, renews its surface, and partially repairs holes when treated with nutrient solution and fresh fungus. Co-culturing with yeast or other fungi adds properties like blue pigmentation or UV resistance. The engineered living material keeps organisms active after fabrication.
