Zcash Developers Confirm November Upgrade

Zcash developers confirmed the NU7 upgrade will activate around Nov. 5 at block 3,543,405, cutting block times from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. The change triples payment speed but disables the original Sprout privacy system and removes 60% of block fees from circulation until miners receive them starting around February 2031.
