AMD unveils Helios rack and MI455X accelerator

AMD unveiled the Helios rack system and MI455X AI accelerator at its Advancing AI event in San Francisco on Thursday. The Helios rack packs 72 MI455X chips into a single system and is designed to compete with Nvidia's data center hardware. Customers include OpenAI, Meta, Oracle, Anthropic, and Microsoft.
