India pushes AI tool to detect child abuse

Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi directed the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to implement an AI-based tool for detecting child sexual abuse material online by December 31, 2026. The initiative involves collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and applies to social media platforms as well.
