Alibaba's Taobao Instant Commerce, Ele.me to Launch Group-Buying Service

Taobao Instant Commerce and Ele.me will launch in-store group-buying services starting Sept. 20, piloting in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Jiaxing. The service initially prioritizes restaurant deals and will expand to major Chinese cities, competing with Meituan and Dianping. Amap recently introduced a merchant review ranking system.
