Apple Skips M6 Pro and Max for AI-Focused M7

Apple will release only a base M6 chip, skipping M6 Pro and M6 Max models, to accelerate the M7 family designed for major AI processing upgrades. A base M6 MacBook Pro launches later this year. The M7 chip arrives in the first half of 2027, followed by M7 Pro and M7 Max in late 2027, and an M7 Ultra in 2028.
