Andreessen Horowitz rebrands its a16z Crypto fund to a16z Frontier on Thursday, expanding the $2.2 billion vehicle to back AI and robotics startups. Partner Chris Dixon leads the new team alongside founders Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz. The firm raised over $15 billion in January, and the renamed fund previously held $2.2 billion.
