Chinese spaceplane releases object in orbit

China's secretive Shenlong spaceplane released an unknown object into orbit during its fourth mission, detected by LeoLabs' Kiwi Space Radar in New Zealand. The object did not match any cataloged item. The spaceplane previously released subsatellites and conducted rendezvous operations on prior missions.
