Microsoft is testing a faster File Explorer and a redesigned, customizable context menu in Windows 11 preview builds for Insiders. The update adds a "Customize menu" shortcut to Settings and fixes file renames interrupted by background sync. Microsoft also removed the WMIC tool starting with Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2.
