Robotaxi test drivers injured as Waymo, Zoox scale

Waymo and Zoox test drivers sustained over two dozen injuries in 2024 and 2025 from hard braking or sudden autonomous vehicle movements, per OSHA data. Transdev reported 16 Waymo-linked injuries; Zoox reported eight. Zoox began charging for robotaxi rides this month in Las Vegas.
