Google ME-POIs Adds Mobility Data to Place Embeddings

Google Research and USC released ME-POIs, a framework adding human movement data to text-based place embeddings. It encodes visits as contextualized vectors and uses contrastive learning to align them with a learnable prototype per POI. The framework was tested on five map-enrichment tasks in Los Angeles.
