Apple's New AI Models Contain 'None' of Google's Gemini Assistant

Apple executives confirmed the new Apple Foundation Models (AFM) use none of Google's Gemini models, client code, or Search infrastructure. The third-generation AFM family includes two on-device models (AFM Core and AFM Core Advanced) and three server-side models, all custom built for Apple Silicon.
