The Jotai atomic state management library for React has published its v3.0.0 stable release. The update modernizes the package to be ESM-only, dropping CommonJS, UMD, and SystemJS builds. It removes deprecated APIs like atomFamily and loadable, and targets ES2020. Maintainer Daishi Kato states the release is mostly backward-compatible, with migration being a mechanical import swap for most teams.
