Old Blood Cells Transformed Into Younger Brain Cells

Scientists in Germany transformed old blood cells into younger brain stem cells using a virus to deliver transcription factors. Over 50 days, the cells reached about 5 percent of the donor age, effectively becoming 60 years younger by day 12. The study, published in the journal Aging Cell, resets epigenetic traits by 50 days.
