Maharashtra Proposes ₹5 Daily Bike Taxi Fee

Maharashtra transport minister Pratap Sarnaik proposed a daily fee of ₹5 and a 2% fare contribution to a welfare fund for illegal bike taxi operators starting August 1. The temporary measure will remain until the EV bike taxi policy is fully implemented. Drivers must hold a Maharashtra domicile certificate.
