Sergey Senozhatsky of Google's Chrome team posted ZRAM patches to the Linux kernel mailing list. The rework splits compression streams into per-CPU read and write paths, saving double to triple digits of KB per context and CPU. It also improves performance by preventing readers and writers from blocking each other.
