Alibaba's T-Head open-sourced SAIL, the software stack for its Zhenwu AI chips, at WAIC in Shanghai. The move targets Nvidia's CUDA lock-in by lowering migration barriers. T-Head said developers can adapt SAIL to mainstream AI frameworks in under seven days. Alibaba has shipped 560,000 Zhenwu chips to over 400 customers.
