Blackstone in Talks to Buy H&R REIT

Blackstone is in discussions to acquire Canada's H&R Real Estate Investment Trust, which managed C$8.1 billion in assets as of March 31. Previous takeover talks involving Blackstone, TPG, and Crestpoint fell apart. H&R has shifted its portfolio away from office and retail toward apartment and industrial assets.
